and the discovery that i have pink sparkly sconces in my bathroom.
how did i miss that the first time round?
i may never leave.
and about the girl.
he got his girlfriend back |
she had a hard time at camp this year.
all her worries about our big move, how this will impact her beloved friendships here, the challenges of a new school...HIGH SCHOOL...and a new city, worries about my sister, her precious aunt...all ended up weighing very heavily on her 12 year old mind.
luckily, she was in a very wonderful, safe place that cares for it's kids like their own.
part of me thinks that being away from home allowed her to actually face a lot of these fears. and did she ever;).
the girl i picked up today was smiling and happy and confident and awesome. open to talking and not holding anything back any more. i love that she is so independent and brave a kid:).
and man, am i glad she is home:).
